Private tutor in Washington, DC

Education

Senior International Relations (International Economics and European Studies) and Classical Studies Major at George Washington University. 3.78 GPA.

Experience

I have tutored Latin at my High School, and was a volunteer/tutor through the DC Reads program for my first two years in college. I had 2000 on my SAT, 670 SAT II English, and 730 SAT History. I have taken a total of 7 AP courses (English Lit 4, English Lang 4, Latin Vergil 5, Latin various authors 4, US History 4, US Gov 4, Comparative Gov 5). I have greatly enjoyed tutoring, and find it very rewarding. Presenting the material in a different manner requires but also improves the tutors grasp on the subject matter. I am a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Golden Key Society. I am fluent in German, and conversational in Norwegian.

Hobbies

I enjoy studying history and geography in my spare time. I compete on the GW Mock Trial team, and was the President of the GW Classics and Archaeology Club (of which I am now the Past President). The evolution of languages has also interested me to a certain degree, specifically the grammatical structure and functions within the Germanic and Romanic languages (which is a result of my studies in Latin).
