| Experience: | Started off helping my younger brother and sister with homework, and I enjoyed it. I took part in various extra-curricular activities to tutor children in different subject areas. I worked at the cancer center and tutored cancer patients there. I travelled to Tanzania last summer to rebuild a school and help improve english amongst children there. I scored a 1960 on my SATs. I did not take AP test I took International Baccalaureate tests which are very similar and scored a 39 out of 42. In IB there are 6 subjects and each is graded out of 7. I believe that I can communicate well with children of all ages and make learning an enjoyable experience. I enjoy working with children and helping them improve in school. It's a great feeling knowing that you've improved on yourself. I am readily available and will be a dedicated tutor. I took biology, chemistry, and economics at a higher level in high school and am taking economics and biology classes at Georgetown. I've taken part in various MUN conferences that enhanced my communication skills. I feel that I am qualified to be a tutor. |
