Experience
A new resident of Washington, DC, I plan to pursue positions related to the biotech or pharmaceutical arena. My interest in the sciences led me to graduate Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University, with a degree in chemistry and a focus on biochemistry. Over the years, I have invested a great deal of my time in teaching others, which began during my college career as a member the Gateway Science Workshop. The GSW was a peer led learning program that concentrated on the practice of problem-solving, as well as different ways to go about mastering the material presented to them. At the close of this program, I was the recipient of an award for the role I played. Since this experience, I have gone on to tutor students ranging from middle school age all the way through college, tackling numerous subjects in the math and science spectrum.I go about tutoring by showing students practical applications for the subject at hand, making it more accessible. Additionally, music has always been of great interest to me (I also studied voice performance in school), so it should come as no surprise that much of my spare time involves singing and volunteering in an a capella society. I always look forward to helping students in the best way I know possible.
