Education

American University - BA, International Studies

Experience

I tutor a variety of subjects, but I specialize in teaching Advanced Placement English, Advanced Placement history, Advanced Placement English literature, social sciences, and many reading- and writing-based subjects. I also like helping students prepare for the ACT test and write their college essays. I am happy to tutor people of all ages, from young children to older adults. I earned my bachelor's degree in International Service at American University. During college, through my classes and various work I performed for the university, I accumulated knowledge and skills in critical reading, academic writing, and test-taking methods. When not tutoring, I enjoy studying new languages, including Latin and Persian, and reading. My favorite books to read include fantasy and nonfiction books, as well as history books and biographies. I also like to get outdoors and go for a good run or hike, and to keep myself caught up on the latest news in international relations.
