Experience
I believe that any student can achieve high academic goals, even in areas they are struggling with. Just like any other skill, academics is something you must practice continuously, and this is all it takes to master any subject. In a classroom setting, there is a limited amount of time, and more often than not, this is not enough time to adequately practice new skills. Even the most able of students need to practice, and working with a tutor can help to hone their skills. I hold a bachelor's degree in International Affairs and German with a minor in Biological Science from Florida State University. I am currently an MPH candidate, studying at the George Washington University of Public Health. I spent considerable time during my days at the Florida State University serving as a tutor through a commercial learning studio, teaching a wide range of subjects, including German, Government, Economics, and Biological Psychology. It was during this time that I obtained my CRLA I Tutor Certification and was named Tutor of the Week! I am now able to tutor students in IB-level History and Literature classes, along with preparation for the ACT, SAT, and GRE. If I'm not tutoring, you can usually find me running, singing, or sailing.
