I most enjoy tutoring math and engineering, but also teach Mandarin Chinese and AP Chinese Language and Culture. Whether it is algebra or differential equations, I can help improve your skills. My academic experience has shaped my abilities as a tutor. I earned my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and taught basic Chinese to students, including introductions and greetings, while working at a camp. I was part of a month-long study abroad program with my school, and spent time in China to improve my language fluency and get first-hand experience of Chinese culture. Also, I have organized and run college readiness seminars and helped set up activities for an engineering camp. Math is especially enjoyable for me to teach to people at any age or level. Many students find it very difficult at first, but I think with enough guidance and determination to succeed, someone can overcome the challenges of a beginner. Specific topics I can help in are geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and algebra while I also tutor science and computer programming. I now live in Washington D.C. My hobbies outside of work and tutoring include skiing, reading, arts and crafts, and Chinese paper cutting.
