Experience
I've been a tutor off and on throughout the past 10 years. During that time, I've tutored children, teenagers, and adults in both English and math. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management. My studies focused on law and policy, with a concentration in hydrology. I spent a lot of time living overseas, where I enjoyed teaching English as a second language, and I am currently working to complete a Bachelor of Art degree in Russian.I believe that one-on-one tutoring is an important part of the learning process for students who are struggling in a specific area, as well as students who want to advance their knowledge of a subject beyond school standards to increase their chances at admission into a more elite or prestigious school. I specialize in tutoring in math subjects, and enjoy teaching elementary and middle-school math; pre-algebra, algebra I, II, III, and III; geometry; pre-calculus and AP calculus; and trigonometry. When I'm not studying or tutoring, I enjoy playing the piano, watching movies, reading, and traveling.
