Experience
Currently, I live in Washington, DC, where I attend George Washington University. I am working toward a bachelor's degree in Political Science and History. I have tutored a broad range of students of varying levels. I have worked at highly rated public schools as well as at charter schools. I have worked with students studying ESL (English as a Second Language). I worked as a tutor every year during my undergraduate studies. I tutor a variety of subjects, but my favorite subjects to help students with are English, political science, and history. It has been my experience that students respond to tutoring which is interactive, supportive, and fun, rather than strict, rule-based methods. I believe a good education provides students with a wealth of opportunities. I have experienced this personally and it's my mission to help others have access to a quality education. I am able to tutor students in the subjects of English, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, Algebra, Geometry, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, American History, European History, AP United States History, Geography, Social Studies, Public Speaking, and preparation for the PSAT, SAT, SSAT, ACT, HSPT, and ISEE.During my free time, I enjoy reading historical fiction and classic literature. I like to write historical fiction stories, too. I also like to run, catch up on TV shows, and debate all sorts of topics.
