Experience

My passion for teaching comes from my own experiences of being a first generation college student. I want to instill the infinite possibility of education to everyone and anyone that is willing to learn. In line with this passion, I have served in various teaching capacities such as being a literacy tutor for the Americrops, a teaching assistant at Emory University for cultural/biological anthropology, a study skills coach, and even a writing tutor. I have also worked with almost all levels of education from K-College. From these experiences, I developed my three principles of teaching: individualized, goal oriented, and adventurous. Below I list my previous work experiences and awards. Please contact me for specific details or a full resume. Hobbies

I love all types of adventure: intellectual, place, spiritual, and personal. Because I learned early on that experiences are what broaden the mind and sharpen the pen. You’ll thus find me writing a short story in a park, walking with a book in my face, reading poetry in a café, or sharing a story with a friend or stranger. Language is the heartbeat of humankind and it inspires me to challenge myself to new heights However, technology still rules the world. I am an incurable geek who has jumped into the front lines of science like quantum neuro imaging to chemical synthetics. Over the weekends, you’ll find me learning to code, taking apart a computer, and building my own art based sharing platform. All of these interests have accumulated into a central teaching principle: learning should be an adventure. It should be the tool that motivates and lights your world. With me you will not get a list to memorize. You will get tailor fit activities, structured lesson plans, a motivation for learning, and that unforgettable moment when your child’s eyes light up in the face of possibility.
