Education

Illinois State University - Master of Vocal Performance Illinois Wesleyan University - Bachelor of Music Composition I am currently looking at University of Maryland and Catholic University to pursue my Doctorate of Music in Composition/Theory. I am hoping to apply for the 2016 academic school year.

Experience

As a composition student I acquired an advanced knowledge of music theory and history. Because of this I was chosen as a music theory tutor for two years during my undergraduate and privately tutored other individuals as well. I also taught sight singing and voice lessons and learned about vocal pedagogy during my masters education.

Hobbies

My main interest is definitely composition. I love to compose music and songs on my ukulele, piano, and drumset through improvisation. I love to experiment in the kitchen with new recipes and flavor combinations. I adore the outdoors, hiking very far distances, and throwing the frisbee around. And I especially like talking to new people and getting to know them better. I find that an open dialogue encourages a more creative environment in which to learn.
