Education

Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a Theatre Arts minor at Sonoma State University, cum laude, 3.69 GPA, 2011.

Experience

For the last four-and-one-half years, I have worked across the country with living playwrights to help them flesh out their scripts into cohesive and compelling stories. The most important tool I can give a writer or reader of any age is context, comprehension, and agency over the story and characters. Providing a safe learning environment that encourages exploration are my strengths as an educator and theatre artist. I ask questions that encourage creative problem solving and discovery, obtain and provide research materials that enhance their stories and give them context, and stimulate continued questioning beyond the room. I have developed and used these tactics when interacting with infants as young as eighteen months up through high-school aged students.
