Experience
In an age of Netflix, Youtube, and smartphones, visual stimulation has become the epicenter of our society. As a result we have all evolved into visual learners and the linear education of generations past is failing modern students. I love being a writing tutor because I can help students gain a full understanding of writing as a whole, whether writing essays for college or a cover letter for a Job interview, using simple imagery and relatable metaphors. In countless tutoring sessions I have seen my techniques not only work, but completely alter student's perspective on writing and literature. My tutoring style can adapt to every type of learner from any background and my mission is to be the change I wish to see in education. At Tacoma Community College in WA state, I took English 101, 102, and 103, and immediately got a job tutoring these subjects on campus because I could see how much the teaching style often damaged my classmate's perspective of English. I worked as a tutor for a year while also working towards and eventually receiving a "Level 3- Master Tutor Certificate" which qualifies me to tutor at any college nationwide. I currently work part time as a Preschool Teacher for Bright Horizons, a job that has put me through, multiple FBI background checks and police clearance which I can provide at any time.

Hobbies
First and foremost I am an artist. It is this passion for visual arts and music which gives me a creative approach to tutoring. An extrovert, I enjoy working with people and have found that tutoring sessions bring the best ideas out of both my client and I. Writing is simply conversation, and by discussing the prompt I ease my clients into the process of writing the essay in a way that flows naturally. My interest in nature has taught me an organic way to create essays. Rather than cranking out sentences to reach a 1000 word count, I teach my clients to use their own stream of thought in order to cultivate their research and grow their essay the way a tree grows- swiftly, consistently, and beautifully.
