Private tutor in Washington, DC

Education

Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance), Emory University; Bachelor of Arts (Chinese Language & Literature), Emory University Master of Science International Affairs, Georgia Tech

Experience

I genuinely love the Chinese language, but I know that it can be a struggle for many people and many kids as it was for me. I hope that by tutoring, I can make the language fun (even if incrementally). I previously taught elementary level Chinese at my local Chinese school as a senior in high school. I also scored a perfect 800 on the SAT II Chinese subject test. In college, I was a double major in Chinese and also was a private tutor.

Hobbies

I was recently helping my niece and nephew prepare for their weekend Chinese school speech contest and end of semester finals. This experience reminded me how much I enjoyed teaching Chinese and why I decided to fill out a profile here and start tutoring again. I am a relatively new transplant to the DMV and hail from GA. I am often described as responsible, smart, and conscientious. I moved here to try to save the world-but when I'm not doing that I am reading (anything and everything), exploring DC (plus surrounding regions in MD and VA) and spending time with friends and family.
