I am a first-year Politics, Policy and Law (PPL) Three-Year Scholar at American University. I am majoring in the School of Public Affairs in an interdisciplinary program called CLEG (Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government). This semester, I am taking Introduction to Law, Introduction to CLEG, College Writing, and Finite Mathematics.
Experience
I have experience writing and editing as Co-Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper and I helped out students in several 11th grade writing classes during my senior year with various papers including college essays. I want to be a tutor because I love helping others. When I'm giving feedback to students, I usually ask them questions so that they think deeply about the ideas they're trying to convey. In terms of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, I figure out what they do and don't know and help them figure it out on their own. However, if they aren't understanding it on their own, I do give suggestions, especially with mechanics.

Hobbies
I love singing and music in general. I usually listen to classic rock and classic pop. My favorite band right now is probably The Beatles. I'm interested in politics and disability advocacy, specifically Tourette Syndrome awareness. I enjoy watching cop shows and my favorite movie genres are comedy and action.
