Education

Yale University - BA, Literature , American University - MA, Secondary English Teaching

Experience

I was a middle school reading teacher for 3 years and have taught students in various capacities. My experiences include teaching kids with learning disabilities, English language learners, and students who required remediation. Whether tutoring reading, writing, English, literature, essay editing, or GRE test prep, the best part of teaching is when I get to know the student and how they learn. I like tailoring instruction to these specific needs. As for me, I attended Yale University, where I earned a degree in Literature, and American University, where I obtained a master's degree in Teaching, with a specialty in Secondary English. I now go to the University of Texas - Austin to get a master's degree in the field of Public Affairs. Reading novels and literary non-fiction keeps me busy in my spare time. I also like nature and being outdoors, traveling, and going to Spanish-speaking countries.
