Private tutor in Washington, DC
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Bachelors, Environmental Studies
I can personally remember the struggle of middle school math and I am very thankful to the great tutors that I had to help me grasp the subject. It taught me the value of a great tutor and how the tutor can really empower the student to learn and problem solve on their own. I hope to provide the students that I work with the support they need to be successful inside the classroom and in life. I have always held a passion for the environment, public education, and urban design and planning. In high school, I took as many advanced placement courses as I could to further my studies. In college, I earned a bachelor's degree in environmental studies. After college, I had the opportunity to travel the world. I spent time working in Thailand, South Africa, and New Zealand. I also worked with the AmeriCorps Habitat for Humanity in the United States. I love to help students in their advanced placement courses, standardized test preparation, and completing any type of application (school, scholarship, or job). I have worked with many students on applications and even completed several scholarship applications of my own. I believe that I have a vast assortment of knowledge to share on successfully completing scholarship applications.
