Janessa B.
Private tutor in Washington, DC
Education
I attended Baylor University, where I received my Bachelors of Arts in University Scholars, with concentrations in the Great Texts of the Western Tradition and Political Science. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2018. The University Scholars Program essentially allowed me to construct my own major. Because of this, I was able to dive deep and explore topics that interested me.
Experience
I am passionate about education and loved my experience in college. I recognize that standardized tests are a necessary part of admissions processes and would love to work with students who are looking to raise their scores in order to attend law school. I have primarily have experience with LSAT. I sat for the LSAT twice, the first time after doing some self-study I was unhappy with the result and chose to re-take the LSAT before applying to law school. After self-studying for a summer, I was able to raise my score by 10 percentile points. Because of my experience I can help students study in the way that works for THEM. Studying for the LSAT must be individualized. LSAT Scores- 170- 97th Percentile and 163- 87th Percentile
