Education

I graduated with Masters from MGSU, Moscow. Additional studies: State Course of Ministry of Foreign Affaires, State Course of Foreign Languages, Education Canada College, Certificate TRESOL, Teaching Russian to Speakers of Other languages.

Experience

Introductory course will introduce you to basic Russian grammar. Through intensive use of authentic materials and a strong emphasis on the spoken word in activities you will be proficient in reading, listening comprehension, writing and reading. You will have homework assignments prior to a lesson. Intermediate Course will enhance your abilities to speak, read, write Russian. This course has a strong conversational emphasis. Advanced course conducted almost entirely in Russian. The course designed for those who can speak fairly fluently and need to polish up writing and speaking skills. The course includes reading and discussions mass media, special texts and Russian literature. Business Course combines either introductory or intermediate (advanced) lessons with emphasis on business expressions, useful phrases and vocabulary. For very advanced students I teach Political Russian (including International Relations, National Security and Socio-Economics), Russian History, History of Russian Diplomacy, Contemporary Russia. I've taught Russian to English and French speakers for several years. I tutor one-on-one, I teach on international websites (video-conference lessons) and in language centers. I use CLT as my teaching method, progressive "recognized approach". Beyond grammatical and discourse elements in communication, CLT is probing the nature of social, cultural and pragmatic features of language. It explores pedagogical means for "real-life" communication in the classroom. I use CLT to develop linguistic fluency, not just accuracy that has so consumed their historical journey. I try to use techniques that focus on learners' needs and goal, that give some control to the student, allow for student creativity and innovation, enhance a student's sense of competence and self-worth. Before lessons, I usually send a test to determine better your level, except for beginners who can't yet read Russian. I use several textbooks, sometimes DVD to improve student's fluency of expression and introduction of cultural awareness, also I can recommend useful multimedia.
