Private tutor in Washington, DC

Brown University, graduated in 2016 with B.S. in Geophysics with honors. I am currently enrolled in Johns Hopkins for a Masters in Science in Secondary Mathematics and Special Education through a program called Urban Teachers DC. I am working toward a license in secondary math and special education as well.

I have been tutoring math for 10 years and I have been a math teacher for 3 years. Students that I have tutored have improved their grades, test scores, and mathematical reasoning skills immensely. Currently I am teaching geometry and calculus at a Public Charter high school in DC while also getting my M.S. in Secondary Math and Special Ed. I also have experience working in Providence, RI Public Schools as a restorative justice conference facilitator (student support).

I am a musician and cook who is also into fitness and photography. At my school I coach the drum line and was in the drum line when I was in high school. I am great at cooking buffalo wings and then photographing my "art." An important part of my tutoring style is forming a solid relationship with my students so that they want to engage in the material.
