Education
I graduated The University of Baltimore in 2017 with a B.S. in Business Entrepreneurship. Throughout my four years, I maintained a 3.3 GPA, made the Dean's list, and was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success. After graduation, I took six months off to work. During this time, I did not feel challenged enough or motivated by my work so I moved to D.C., enrolled in an ELA Secondary Education and Special Education M.S. at The Johns Hopkins University, and began teaching full time at a Public Charter School in D.C. Currently, my GPA is a 3.5 and by the end of the semester, i will be on the Dean's list again.
Experience
I have been tutoring English for eight years, although I just began my first year of teaching. My students have seen improvements in their SAT, MAP, and PARCC scores along with their overall grades. I am currently teaching English 1, 2, and 3, running my own reading intervention, and tutoring students in PARCC at a Public Charter School in D.C. while working towards my M.S. in ELA Secondary Education and Special Education.
