Experience
I earned my BA in Spanish (with distinction) from the University of Colorado in just three years. Now I'm a graduate student studying community development and political science. I attend Illinois State University, and have a 4.0 GPA. I've had a great deal of experience in teaching and tutoring a variety of subjects throughout the past six years. In Colorado, I tutored students who were athletes for their economics, Spanish, accounting, and math classes. I also worked for a tutoring company, and tutored various subjects, focusing mainly on accounting and economics. I have also been a member of the Peace Corps, where I had the opportunity to teach English, as well as train volunteers for elementary schools. In this position, I obtained a great deal of experience working with young students and Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have also tutored Chinese and Spanish students in English. I believe the saying "practice makes perfect," and know that earning better grades involves not only personal motivation, but a strong plan of attack. I can tutor in a wide variety of subjects from elementary through college level, including helping students prepare for standardized tests like the ACT and GRE. I also like to travel, play basketball, and explore my city.
