Sam P.
Private tutor in Washington, DC
Education
Current student at the George Washington University, Elliott School of International Affairs. Planning on an International Affairs major with a concentration in contemporary cultures and societies. Graduated from the Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, NY on the Principal's Honor Roll.
Experience
I participated in a student-tutoring program my senior year of high school. I tutored subjects related to English, Algebra, and Latin. I took Latin as my language all four of high school and still study it presently. I took the ACT test and scored a 29 composite on it. I want to be a tutor because I love helping those who need it. I want other kids to understand the subjects they are having trouble with because I, personally, hate the feeling of not understanding a certain topic. Aside from tutoring, I have worked every summer since my freshman year of high school at a tennis club as an attendant. My senior year of high school I also volunteered to help mentally handicapped kids learn the game of ice hockey.

Hobbies
I have played ice hockey my entire life. I am currently a member of the George Washington University ice hockey team. My hobbies include reading, skating, exercise, and team sports. I truly love to help. This semester, my pledge class for my fraternity raised over two thousand dollars for and organization that helps people with disabilities. My main interest in life would be to be a teacher. I have wanted to do it ever since I began my student-tutoring program last year. Some of my other interests include sports and tennis.
