Experience

I have always enjoyed teaching - I worked as a private tutor for middle school students and high school underclassmen before I came to Georgetown, and I have continued to teach as a multilingual tutor for the DC Schools Project as an undergraduate. I tutored in a range of subjects, including basic algebra, English, Spanish, social studies, biology, chemistry, and SAT prep. In my five years of tutoring, I have experienced many different learning styles, and it has allowed me to better meet the needs of my students. In addition to my tutoring experience, I have a very strong academic record. I was my high school's salutatorian and graduated with a 4.00 GPA. At Georgetown, my GPA is 3.964, which places me in the top 1% of my class. I am also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, a Coca-Cola Scholar, a National Merit Scholar, and a U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholar. My SAT composite score is 2340 (CR: 740, Math: 800, Writing 800).
