Private tutor in Washington, DC
I graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2014 with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, a concentration in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, and a minor in Energy and Environmental Systems. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA and took courses ranging from high level mathematics/physics to Art History and Business Theory classes.
**I offer both in-person and Skype tutoring. I am currently working as an Environmental Engineer in the DC area. I have been a hired tutor for 10 years and have tutored in over 15 subject areas for over 30 different students. Subjects I have tutored in include Geometry, Algebra, Calculus, AP Calculus, college-level mathematics, Physics (AP), Biology, Anatomy/Physiology, Chemistry (AP), History (all types), English, Spanish, as well as SAT/ACT/GRE prep and study/organizational skills. I love tutoring and think that the best way to learn is with one-on-one guidance tailored to the students specific needs. A tutor can be used to help explain materials that the student needs further instruction on, guide the student in their study practices, and serve as a motivation during homework/studying time.

I am extremely high-energy and outgoing, and I work well with personalities both similar to mine and polar opposite! I have had students ranging in age from 8 to 22 years old with all different personality types and varying levels of enthusiasm for learning. I am very experienced in working with students and children with ADD/ADHD and motivational struggles! We always get the job done together.
