Received a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from Northwestern University, graduated in 2012. High school diploma from Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School.

Experience

I currently teach 7th grade English at a charter school in Southeast DC. Last year, I taught 6th and 7th grades English as well as History and Arabic at a DCPS middle school before it closed. I am a Teach for America corps member. I have previous teaching and tutoring experience in Chicago and in Cairo. I studied Arabic for four years in college and have taken French for 13 years from elementary school through university. Next year, I'll be moving to Grenoble, France to continue teaching.
