I am a communications professional working for a national nonprofit here in DC. I am a graduate of Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. I have a B.A. in Journalism, with minors in Mathematics and Honors. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.92 GPA. Before attending Ithaca College, I graduated from duPont Manual High School in Louisville, KY, as a valedictorian with a 4.2 GPA.

Experience

I worked as a writing tutor in the Ithaca College Writing Center for three years, so I have extensive experience helping students improve their essays at every stage of the writing process (from brainstorming to proofreading). I love working with students! I scored a 35 on the ACT with writing. I scored a 2320 on the SAT. I scored a 222 on the PSAT (I was a National Merit Finalist). I scored a 5 on the following AP tests: Human Geography, European History, English Language, US History, English Literature, AB Calculus, US Politics, and Comparative Politics. (That's a 5 in each of those subjects.) I'd like to help your student in whatever subject areas I can! Please note that I am only available to tutor ONLINE currently.

I am a quiet and personable person. I work well with quiet students, but I also get along well with more talkative people because I'm a good listener. I am passionate about reading, social justice, and my cats. I recently learned to quilt over Zoom! I can quote tons of lines from The Office, and my favorite band is Spoon. By day I work for a national nonprofit.
