Experience

As a student teacher, I was requested as a personal tutor, focusing on study skills and reading comprehension. I completed 18 months of student teaching, providing instruction in all subject areas (K-8). I then went on to work as a special education teacher for 2.5 years and was employed as a high school language arts specialist and a middle school resource specialist. I have experience teaching in large classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one. I have completed two years of Slingerland training and am competent assisting children who have learning challenges as well as those struggling with specific concepts.
