Experience

Throughout my experiences in life, one thing I know is that I love teaching. I'm skilled at identifying learning styles of each student I work with, and I can customize the way I teach to help people work through concepts they otherwise have trouble understanding. I also know several test taking and study techniques I can share with students. I have a lot of teaching and tutoring experience with students of all ages and levels of ability. I got my first experience as a TA, helping students from pre-K through high school in reading, math, and study skills. I also had the opportunity to teach environmental science in West Africa while in the Peace Corps. I developed the curriculum for this course, and customized my lessons to the needs of my students. I've also been tutoring privately for a while now. My track record says that my students have been successful, and my valuations have been very high. I can tutor literature, English, psychology, French, and test preparation for the GRE, SAT, and others. In my free time, I enjoy singing, playing the guitar, going to concerts, sci-fi, and reading. I'm also interested in environmentalism.
