Private tutor in Washington, DC
Denison University - BA, German, History
My degree from Denison University in 2010 was for German and history. Once out of school, I traveled to Austria to teach English for a Fulbright program. Following that I went to St. Louis, Missouri to tutor and teach in a range of subjects. Currently, I'm living in Washington, D.C. and attending George Washington University. My educational background includes being honored as a National Merit Scholar in high school. My tutoring background has included students as young as primary age children and up into college. I have exceptional skills in preparing students for standardized tests such as the SAT, and the LSAT for analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, and reading comprehension. Also included in my background is tutoring for the ACT for English, math, and science. Additional tutoring skills include writing essays, the German language, and tutoring for English as a second language. My hobbies and interests include running, cooking, and attempting to play the guitar. It is important that students are engaged in the learning process. My approach includes helping students to enjoy the subject we are working on. A good tutoring experience is one that leaves the students glad that they worked with me and that they are making progress.
