Experience

One of the best things I bring to the table as a tutor is my enthusiasm and love of encouraging others. I believe that the learning process goes so much better when adding a bit of fun and creativity. I am a determined individual, and I also believe that it is something that I pass on to those I teach. I have experience in tutoring for standardized tests, study skills, writing, reading, and (my favorite of all) English literature. I have always loved to read, and I enjoy sharing this passion with others.I also have a lot of experience with writing, having had some of my own work published in both my college paper and The New York Times. I have a master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University. I know that many people struggle with writing, and I consider it a privilege to help others hone their skills and find the writer inside of them. I love to help people learn the art of storytelling and discover the power of stories. I also have a strong background in argumentative essay writing, something I learned from my father who is a lawyer. In addition to tutoring, I love exploring the city, attending live theater, and reading in the park.
