Education

Georgetown University - BA, Government and English

Experience

When I work with students, I encourage them to accept the responsibility of mastering the subject. When students decide to accept ownership, it is easier for them to engage with a topic and ask the questions going on in their head that will help them understand the topic fully. I went to Georgetown University and graduated with a government and English degree. I've taught at the high school and middle school level stateside in and South Africa, and I've also tutored undergraduate students while attending college. I believe everybody has the ability to learn, and I want to help my students understand this and then achieve success. I like to help students identify their strengths and come to realize they know more than they may have thought. I can tutor students in essay writing and editing, English grammar, literature, reading, writing, history, government, study skills and organization, social studies, and others. I can also help students prepare for the ACT, SAT, and other exams.
