EducationWake Forest University - BS, Mathematical-Economics
ExperienceI am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching math and science. I graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor's degree in mathematical economics. I gained experience as a tutor in college by tutoring economics. I gained further experience by tutoring students in math at local middle schools and high schools. I am comfortable tutoring students in a variety of math related subjects, including algebra, algebra 2, calculus 1-3, differential equations, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, pre-algebra, finite mathematics, statistics, linear algebra, and multivariable calculus. I am also capable of tutoring students in a wide range of science related courses, including chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and physics. I liked tutoring undergraduate students, but I found helping teenagers with math very rewarding. My experience has taught me that every student can excel in math if they are given enough time and proper instruction. I have also discovered that each student has their own unique way of learning. My philosophy as a tutor emphasizes adapting the way I teach to accommodate the strengths of my students. My success as a student qualifies me for helping other students because I understand how to achieve high grades and test scores. In my free time, I enjoy football, soccer, fly fishing, traveling, music, and cooking.
