Experience
I've taught in the public school system for eleven years. I obtained a Pennsylvania teaching license in 2002 by participating in the Professional Year teaching program as a graduate, after graduating with a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Pittsburgh. In my teaching, I realize how important it is to understand my audience - students of world languages, each who has their own goal in mind. I teach anywhere from the third grade level up to and through pre-AP courses in the subjects of English, Spanish, and French. In addition, I can assist with AP Spanish Language materials and in IB Language studies.I strongly believe that learning a language enables students with new communication skills they can use to interact with peoples and cultures around the world. In the 21st century, this has an impact for more people and professions than ever before. I am dedicated to my life's work of providing tutees with a chance to learn Spanish while improving their writing abilities and becoming better students. There are many goals to be achieved and I'm the one who can help.Currently living in the Washington, D.C. area, I am a baseball fan and enjoy music and reality TV.
