Private tutor in Washington, DC
Washington and Lee University - BA, Mathematics
I am a graduate of Washington and Lee University, where I graduated with a bachelor's in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science and a focus in Economics. During my undergraduate years, I have tutored students at all levels of schooling, including elementary schoolers, college students, and every level between. I am comfortable tutoring subjects including algebra, English reading and writing, chemistry, physics, statistics, economics, and business, among many others. I am also qualified to assist students in advanced courses such as IB Physics HL and SL, IB Computer Science HL and SL, and AP Calculus AB. I am currently employed as a software implementation consultant, and as such, I particularly enjoy tutoring computer science courses. I find that the tangible progress students see in computer science is a great motivator. I love learning alongside my students, and I like helping my students discover the optimal style in which they learn. I'm a passionate educator, and I truly enjoy helping my students achieve their academic goals. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my friends, playing board games, cooking and eating good food, and reading.
