Saint Mary's College - BA, Integral Liberal Arts

Hello. My name is Omar. I have a bachelor's degree in Integral Liberal Arts from St. Mary's College. My program there focused on Rhetoric, Science, Math, and Philosophy. Currently, I am enrolled at George Washington University and am pursuing a law degree. My tutoring areas are LSAT preparation and math for high school students, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1-2, and Geometry. Of all the math subjects that I tutor, though, my clear favorite is Geometry. It is the area of math that is critical in terms of creating the logical reasoning foundation. As I have become a more experienced tutor, I have been able to apply several ways of teaching and thinking for a student's success. For me, the key to unlocking a student's learning ability for them to experience measurable progress toward achieving their academic goals is to leverage their thought patterns. I like the challenge and fun that new material and content brings, and I have discovered that those I tutor are often motivated by that as well. When I am not focused on my law school classes or tutoring, I read and watch football. I also enjoy getting out and exploring our nation's capital, which is where I live.
