Experience

Hello, I am Maria and I live in Washington DC. I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology at Central University of Venezuela, and I earned a master's degree in International Affairs from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Being from Venezuela, Spanish is my native language, and I feel very natural when teaching it to someone else. I have tutored Spanish grammar and pronunciation in the United States for several years, and I believe my multicultural background has been an effective asset in teaching another language. I have also been involved in numerous research projects, and been employed providing reviews and editing literature in English and Spanish. I have a great passion for the Spanish language, and love to share its beauty with others. I can tutor students in beginning Spanish through Spanish 4, as well as ESL/ELL, and English. In my free time, I like to read and learn about other cultures, traveling, and photography.
