Private tutor in Washington, DC
Yale Univesity - BA, History
My experiences working in education have made me passionate about tutoring, and it is my goal to be a friend and mentor to students. Rather than simply telling my students answers, I encourage them to learn and investigate. It is my hope that with our time working together, they will have a lifelong gift of learning. After I attended college, I served in the Peace Corps for two years in Guinea. There, I taught 5th grade students the French Language, and also worked with high school students, teaching them English. It was an experience I will never forget, and it has made me want to continue on with my goals of tutoring. I am able to teach students many subjects, including Elementary Math, English, Reading, American History, European History, French Language 1-4, Social Studies, AP French, AP U.S. History, and SSAT (Elementary Level through Middle Level).I graduated from Yale University, where I earned my B.A. in History. I was also a tutor while I was there, and I assisted fellow students in learning the French language. When I'm not working with students, I like to write, enjoy a game of soccer, listen to music, travel, and learn foreign languages.
