Experience
Throughout college and graduate school, I have helped students with writing essays for college and SAT preparation. I have also taught religion and history to high school. While I tutor many topics, I most enjoy teaching history and writing. The reason for that is that when taking the SAT and LSAT tests, success in these subjects can mean improved scores. As a tutor, I consider myself a partner of the students I teach. Together, we look to one objective: to ensure they gain the knowledge, strategies, and skills they need to succeed. Much of the time, that objective starts with finding where the student is weak and going forward from that point. After we take care of any weak elements, learning becomes a smooth--and sometimes fun--process.I have a bachelor's degree in History and Religious Studies from the College of the Holy Cross. I also have a master's degree in Religion and a separate certificate in Educational Leadership and Ministry from Yale University. Right now, I am seeking a law degree from Georgetown University.I spend my free time going to concerts and films and spending time with friends. Since I'm still new to Washington, I also like to explore when I can. I would love to work with you!
