Private tutor in Washington, DC
Howard University - BA, International Business
I am passionate about knowledge acquisition, and am even more passionate about education and service. My outlook on educating others is that instruction must be practical and concise. The information that a tutor passes on to others must relate to the real world. If a tutor can connect the topic to something that a student will relate to, the student will grasp that knowledge much more readily.I am able to work with students on a number of topics. I feel most comfortable tutoring math at the elementary and middle school levels. However, in English, I am able to work with older students in high school writing, grammar and mechanics, essay writing, editing, reading, and literature. I can also tutor students in Advanced Placement United States History, AP Human Geography, Science, English Language and Composition, and World History. Beyond the classroom, I am qualified to help students prepare for the ACT, particularly in the English and reading portions.I am currently a student at Howard University, and I am working toward my bachelor's degree in International Business. Outside of academia, my interests and hobbies include art, leisure sports, reading, and films.
