Education
American University - BA, International Relations , American University - MA, International AffairsExperience
I first earned my bachelor's degree in International Relations and am now pursuing a master's degree at American University's School of International Service. I am an experienced teacher, and I taught at a college in China before entering graduate school. In China, I taught classes in American culture, business writing, and the English language. I now tutor a wide variety of subjects, but my favorites to teach are writing, reading, and history. I enjoy teaching reading and writing, because I am great at helping people with even very little knowledge of the language write intelligent and polished papers and essays. History is also a subject I enjoy tutoring, because I like it when students ask questions or even begin debates with me about the history lessons we are covering. Along with tutoring, I also have experience working as an editor for a magazine based in Washington, D.C. When I tutor, I put the needs of my student first at all times. I always keep their learning style and personal goals in mind when tutoring; I know that each individual student's goals differ. When not tutoring, I enjoy watching movies, reading, and talking myself into getting a good workout at the gym.Hobbies
