Experience

I've worked with students of various ages in English as a Second Language coursework, in both small classrooms and one-on-one situations. In my work teaching ELL to adults, I was responsible for developing lessons, curricula, homework assignments, class assignments, and exams. As a tutor, I helped middle school students with Mathematics and ELL. In addition to these subjects, and more specifically, I can tutor Geometry, Algebra, Statistics, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, English, U.S. History, Social Studies, etc. I can also work with students on A.P. coursework in Chinese Language and Culture, Comparative Government and Politics, U.S. History, U.S. Government and Politics. If you need help with test prep, I can work with the SATs, PSATs, and SAT subject tests. As a high school student, I tutored some of my peers in Mathematics, as well. I'm successful as an educator because I believe in patience. I also strive to relate to students and create a fun learning environment. It's rewarding to help others comprehend complex subject matter. I enjoy singing and playing piano and guitar.
