Private tutor in Washington, DC
Harvard University - BA, History of Science
I attended Harvard University, where I earned my B.A. in History of Science, with an emphasis on Health Policy and Global Health. I work in D.C. with a research and consulting firm focused on healthcare. In this work, and as a result of my studies, I'm highly experienced in a diverse types of writing (academic writing, personal/creative essays, research briefs, etc.). I've been studying Spanish since childhood, and I love helping others build their interest and mastery of the language. I've worked to tutor and support students, family, and friends in a number of subject areas, including Math (Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra), Spanish, History, Literature, etc. I'm great at working with students on their reading and writing skills, and I'm also experienced with test prep aid for the ACTs, PSATs, SATs (including subject tests), and AP exams. I'm always excited to work with new students, and I find that teaching is also a constant learning experience for me. I encourage students to remain curious and find fun in education. Hobby-wise, I love to read all kinds of books, watch movies, cheer for my sports teams, and teach friends about field hockey. I also just love exploring the many wonders of D.C.
