Private tutor in Washington, DC
Dartmouth College - BA, Government, Anthropology
As a tutor, I believe adapting to a student's preferred learning style is extremely important. I believe flexibility is one of my strong suits as a tutor, and my ability to meet a student's individual needs is something I am very proud of. I have been helping others learn since my years in high school when I was a teacher's assistant. I worked with all types of students, from elementary schoolers, middle schoolers, and high schoolers, and have no issues working with students of any age.I recently graduated from Dartmouth College with a double major in anthropology and government. While in college, I worked with other students as part of a study group. During that time, I went over assignments, helped my peers study for their finals, and gave them ideas from a different perspective. It was a very rewarding experience for me, particularly seeing others succeed due to my help. I am able to tutor students in a number of topics, including ACT and SAT prep, reading, writing, history, and essay writing, among many others.I currently work as for a law firm in Washington, D.C. as a paralegal. During my free time, I enjoy playing and listening to music, watching movies, and cooking.
