Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon, where I graduated with High Honors. I am currently working toward my master's degree in Elementary Education. I have a wide variety of different teaching experiences. I worked as an ESL teacher for Chilean students, a GED tutor, and a preschool educator, where I helped students develop coordination and life skills. I am enthusiastic about education, and have years of experience tutoring students ranging from elementary schoolers to college students in subjects like algebra, all levels of Spanish, reading, writing, psychology, and social studies. I bring the knowledge I have attained from my diverse background to tutoring, and I enjoy continuing to learn new educational techniques. I love learning about my students' individual learning preferences, and I respect my students' abilities, so I modify my teaching methods to fit their learning style. Every student learns at his or her own pace, so I bring a variety of creative techniques to assist my students in achieving their academic goals. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy international travel, dancing, snowboarding, playing volleyball, and many other outdoor activities.
