Private tutor in Washington, DC

Education

MA in teaching; BA in anthropology and minor in history.

Experience

When I was a junior in high school, I scored a 5 on the AP US History Exam. Now I'm a history teacher with a Masters in Teaching. Do you need a tutor? I am a highly-qualified social studies teacher with 9 years of classroom experience. My students consistently score 10 points higher than the district average on history exams. If your child is struggling in history, or you're serious about earning a 4 or 5 on an AP history exam, you need a professional-- not a college kid who is looking to make a quick buck. My expertise is with students who are unmotivated, uninterested, or who struggle in school. I have taught more than 10 social studies courses and have myself scored 5s on the AP Modern European History and AP US History Exams (as well as 4s in AP US Government and AP Psychology). I am certified to teach each of those courses. Please contact me so that we can negotiate a fair rate for your child. This will depend on the number of hours per week/month, and the amount of support your child needs.
