Experience
I began tutoring in high school when I became part of Mu Alpha Theta, an honor society for math students. I was also a part of my high school's Spanish Honor Society, and through that society became a Spanish peer tutor. I'm currently a student at Brandeis University in the Waltham, Massachusetts area, and in addition to attending my own classes, I've spent time working for the Waltham Group as a Spanish tutor for high school students in the area. I truly enjoy watching students work hard to improve academically, and love helping them succeed. Because I was a high school student just a few short years ago, I understand what the students that I tutor are facing. It's easy for me to determine the areas in which a student is struggling, and to create a plan to help them overcome their obstacles. I tutor students in numerous math subjects, including elementary school math, middle school math, arithmetic, pre-algebra, and algebra. However, I also tutor students in English and grammar, as well as Spanish levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. Additionally, I'm available to help students with ACT prep and essay editing. When I have free time, I enjoy traveling and watching "Survivor." I also enjoy the theater, and spend time studying both law and Spanish.
