When I work with students, it's my goal not just to teach the material from the book. I want to teach a deeper understanding and help students really comprehend the subject matter at hand. When you work with a student and guide them, they are able to be more successful and independent in everyday life. This can help them best prepare for what to expect in life. I have experience teaching for the last 6 years. I now work as a special education Science teacher and I work with 6th grade students. I also have experience using different techniques and strategies in the classroom. I believe that students are able to grow as they progress more in the classroom and with their learning. I think all individuals are able to learn throughout their entire lifetime. The more someone is able to learn, the more success he or she will have. When I'm not helping students learn, I like to spend time reading, watching movies, and camping. I also like to hike and visit amusement parks. I can help with many subjects, including Social Studies, Writing, Math, and Politics. I will tailor each lesson to the needs of each student that I work with.
