I'm a rising Senior at American University, majoring in American Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I have always enjoyed teaching reading and writing skills, and have experience ranging from the professional - interning with an author and helping to edit and research his book on high-frequency stock trading - to collegiate, being the editor of a school literary magazine, a tutor to my friends and peers, and presenting papers at university events. I love helping students improve their grammar and rhetoric, creative and analytical writing, and social science understanding. I believe that one of the most significant ways someone can improve in a subject is by increasing their confidence. Too often, people misinterpret small difficulties in reading or writing as proof that they will never excel. With practice and an open mind, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised at the potential you do indeed have. Apart from the humanities, I enjoy graphic design, astronomy, dreaming about the car collection I would love to have, and event planning.
