Experience
I am PhD Candidate in the department of history at The George Washington University. At GW, I have taught world and European history to undergraduates, working closely with individual students to develop analytical and writing skills. In 2012, I was awarded the Charles Herbert Teaching Prize for this work. Outside the academy, I have helped high school students craft writing assignments and college essays. I have also worked as a literacy tutor for elementary school students in Washington, DC and Prince George's County. I currently work at the Folger Shakespeare Library as an editor for Shakespeare Quarterly, the leading journal for Shakespeare studies. While I am capable of teaching a range of subjects, I am especially qualified to tutor students in history and the social sciences, literature, literacy, and writing.
