Private tutor in Washington, DC
Temple University - BS, Chemistry , Howard University - MD, Medicine
I began tutoring when I was in high school, as a peer tutor for algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. After graduating as class valedictorian, I continued my education at Temple University and went on to attend Howard University College of Medicine, where I'm currently a student. I have an extensive background in tutoring, including three years working as a Program Coordinator for the Safe Haven After School Program, where I taught cooking, creative writing, and dance, and six weeks working as a tutor for Howard University College of Medicine's Preliminary Academic Reinforcement Program (PARP), where I lectured on molecular biology, anatomy, and biochemistry, and also ran tutoring sessions for groups of 15 potential dental and medical students. Additionally, I've spent time working as a Youth Science Enrichment Program Coordinator and I visit the EXCEL Academy each month to speak to students interested in the medical field on topics, such as physiology and anatomy. I tutor students in a variety of different mathematics subjects, including elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, precalculus, calculus, and geometry. I also tutor science students in anatomy, chemistry, physiology, biochemistry, physics, science, general chemistry, and biology. In my spare time, I enjoy completing arts and crafts projects, drinking tea, and dancing. A few of my interests include decorating, health and wellness, and natural haircare.
